Monkeys are primates and there are about 250 known living species of monkeys. Mostly you will find monkeys living in trees, however some monkeys do live on the ground. They are smart animals and can learn many different things. Did you know that some monkeys are used as service animals for the disabled? These service monkeys are trained to help quadriplegics do several different tasks, such as microwaving food and opening bottles.

Monkeys are often studied in science lessons along with other primates. The lessons include science vocabulary that relate to monkeys. Along with the vocabulary, teachers enjoy including games and puzzles in their lessons. Practicing with games about monkeys is helpful to students by reinforcing the material. Another great benefit to these games is the increase in spelling, reading, and retention skills.
