Learning Games for Kids
Education through Games

Learning Games are a great way to build the foundation skills that today's elementary school curriculum requires. These learning games are fun. These learning games teach important skills for preschool and elementary school kids. Children will themselves work to develop their focus and skills with these learning games.  Want educational games  that help build skills?

Grades & Testing? Ha! With these games the children will measure their own progress.

The outrageously clever electronic learning games of today will be the foundation curriculum of tomorrow.

While this sounds radical, its actually common sense. Todays children are different. They are digital natives. And their relationship with information is so different. Take for example entertainment.

Seen a classic Disney film lately? Noticed that Sleeping Beauty and Snow White take hours to unfold and move at the pace of molasses? Well, they use to be considered "normal paced". But compare the pacing of them with the hit kids films of the last decade. The fact is that the rate at which people absorb information comfortably seems to have rapidly shifted.

Coming soon, a short article on how our ability to multitask has changed also.

My point is that while elementary schools are today using learning sites or discs as rewards for kids that are doing well. Or as a supplement to the main curriculum, this tentative use of technology is only the first step.

Within a few years, children will spend 10-20% of their time in an elementary school on a computer. This will provide more individual paced instruction. It will free up teacher time for more intensive hands-on individual and small group work. It will keep costs low. It will prepare kids for the world that they will work in. It will help keep education feeling relevant. It will be better.
